Welcome to the Silver Surfers inspire4life website!

We are now on our summer break.  We will start again on the 10 October 2019 at 10:00 in the small Barn at Goosecroft Recreation Ground.  Look forward to seeing both old and new faces.

We began in November 2007 with funding from the National Lottery through Awards for All to take us through to October 2008.

Initially our aim was to provide beginners computer courses to the over 50s who have none or very little knowledge of how to use a computer.

Since our initial inception we have received grants from other organisation that has helped us go from strength to strength.

However, the demand for courses has fallen off in the past months as people become more familiar with computers and move to other devices to access their email and the web.  After much thought we have therefore decided to move away from offering just computer courses and move to a computer club structure and allow anyone 18 or over to join.  We hope to be able to offer talks on items of interest about computing, one to one tuition sessions and technical help.

And to help you relax afterwards Tai Chi classes. Click on the links on the left to find out more.

We are currently based at The Barn in Purley on Thames.

The Barn is the single blue icon near Beech Road on the map below.
